Ballantine’s Blended Scotch 17 Yr

The premium blend from the 180-year-old Ballatine’s company. This blended whisky sits on a wonderful malty core, dominated by Miltonduff and Glenburgie, but created through the fine blending of over 50 different malts and grain whiskies. This blend has been allowed to mature for 17 years in oak casks, before being carefully blended by Master Blender Sandy Hyslop. This is one of the preferred blends of whisky writer Jim Murray, who deemed it Scotch Blend of the Year in 2010. Drinkers should expect a rich, layered dram, with wonderful notes of stone fruit, woodsmoke, vanilla and sweet barley. Beautiful stuff, at an excellent age.
